SOCK IT TO ME!

New Obsession: socks. tights. thigh highs. knee highs. over the knee socks. Break it down: LEGWEAR.

OK...I'll admit, this obsession might not be SO new. I was definitely rocking frilly socks with my favorite patent leather mary-janes (which i refused to stop wearing even after I had clearly outgrown them) when I was just an itty bitty little Lexi. But now that I'm all grown up (usually) I'm kind of over the moon for the updated versions of this classic fashion move.

I just scooped up some over the knee tights from American Apparel (black opaque was my chioce) and I couldn't resist the Ribbed Sock version either, so I grabbed those in butter...delicious! 

Also available at American Apparel, and kind of everywhere if you've been looking...are super cute shorter socks. I like the pointelle socks (bonus, it comes in a 2 pack!) and the girly lace sock....adorable and will look super cute with a great pair of heels or even a very of the moment oxford flats.

Another great place to get lustworthy legwear is Sock Dreams. I really love how the website has their products organized by leg coverage. Kind of adore these lace anklets! (Lace is so of-the-moment and I have a feeling it's going to carry right through to fall!) This place has pretty much everything you've ever dreamed of in terms of accessorizing your gams....so get to their site stat! P.S. They have free shipping in the US!  

Crocheted tights, nylons with seams up the back, and of course one of my absolute to-die-for's....fishnets (naturally nude being the top pick of all the hues), leg wear can really amp up an outfit. Even in the warm summer months, there are great ways to style it properly. I know I'll be wearing my over-the-knee socks soon with some strappy heels and cute summer dress!

Being a kid was all about daydreaming and wonder. So it's no wonder sometimes fashion swings back to the good old days when wearing socks with your fancy shoes was just obvious. It's a trend that can go really wrong really fast so tread lightly.  But please..... try it out if you feel inclined because it can be ultra cute when done properly!

Go Wild With Chopard!

Animals and jewelry are two of my absolute very favorite things.  Anybody who knows me would tell you I’m fairly obsessed with my little Yorkie I affectionately refer to as muscles.  On any given day you can see me walking him, dancing on the sidewalks with my iPod blowing out my ear drums(courtesy of one Miss Stephanie Riley!) and most CERTAINLY accessorized properly at all times.  Whether I’m going out on the town with the girls, or for a stroll with lil muscles, just the right accessories are called for.

Naturally, when these worlds collide it’s slightly dreamy for me! I’m obviously loving the owls, butterflies, and flowers we’re seeing all over the jewels out there.  Of course with spring and summer upon us it’s only right that we should honor Mother Earth  with a little tip of the fashion hat.

Well Chopard is in on this game and in a big way.  It’s the brand’s 150^th anniversary and to celebrate they have designed the Animal World Collection, 150 unique pieces from the Swiss Jeweler that would make any artist, fashionista and/or collector swoon....Chopard has long been a favorite of Celebs on the red carpet and I'm sure this collection will be no exception.

So...this new collection is pretty killer.  Not shocking.

I love how these pieces all maintain the integrity of the brand but are still playful and charming. Yes, fashion can be serious and artistic but it’s still fun! And what’s more fun than a polar bear perched on your knuckle?
Or a Frog prince hangin' on your hand??

Oh, maybe just some monkeys monkeying around your collarbone! J

I also ADORE the antelope earrings and turtle ring.  Obviously.  These are clearly just a couple of the stunning pieces, more of the collection and the true artistry can be seen here, at the Chopard website! Now….for those of us who haven’t quite budgeted for a Chopard ring just yet….we’ll get there ladies J there are some cutie pie budget versions of the same idea.  No, they’re not Swarovski crystals. And they won’t last a lifetime.  But that’s ok, they’ll tickle your fancy for the time being and you won't have to feel bad about emptying your bank account on a cool ring when you're over it.
